Podgorica, President Hold Talks with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium |
President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović held talks today in Podgorica with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Yves Leterme.
President thanked for the support and assistance Belgium has provided and continues to provide to Montenegro in achieving its integration goals and stated that Belgium has considerably supported a good pace of Montenegro’s integration into the EU and NATO. President expressed an expectation that during the Belgian presidency term in the second half of the year, Montenegro will obtain a candidate status for membership in the European Union and will significantly approach to the membership of NATO. President stated his conviction that good political bilateral relations will encourage further economic cooperation between Montenegro and the Kingdom of Belgium.
Prime Minister Yves Leterme praised Montenegro as a good role model of the region and stated that he is certain it will pursue responsible path toward its integration goals, with a full support of Belgium. He pointed out that there is room for comprehensive and active cooperation in all fields, particularly in the field of economy. Views: 305
