Podgorica, President Vujanović Receives the President of the National Council of Austria
President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović, talked today in Podgorica, with Her Excellency, Ms. Barbara Prammer, the President of the National Council of Austria.

During the talks, President Vujanović expressed utmost respect for close relations of Montenegro and Austria, pointing out that the parliamentary cooperation is its important segment and expressed his satisfaction with this visit. Thanking Austria on consistent support of Montenegro in its accession process to the European Union, the President acquainted his interlocutor with the plans of Montenegro in respect of its dynamic in the forthcoming period. He also stated expectation of further promotion of the economic cooperation and investment projects at the level of close state relationship.

The President of the National Council of Austria, Ms. Prammer, expressed her respect for Montenegro’s progress in the past period, as well as the expectation of its further progress in accession negotiations, pointing out that the constitutional amendments aimed at enhancement of independent judiciary are a priority for integrations, as well as the need for further intensification of investments in the economy of Montenegro.

The talks were attended by Erhard Busek, former Vice-Chancellor of Austria and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of “ERSTE Foundation”, Martin Pammer, the Ambassador of Austria to Montenegro and Gabriele Moser, a member of the National Council of Austria and the Chair of Austro-Montenegrin Parliamentary Friendship Group.
