Cetinje, President of Montenegro received letters of credence from the Ambassador of the Republic of Greece
The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović received the letters of credence from the Ambassador of the Republic of Greece, Ilias Fotopoulos, who will perform his duty in Montenegro on a residential basis.

During the meeting the President Vujanović expressed his satisfaction over the comprehensive and intensive relations of Montenegro and Greece, founded on friendship and closeness of the two states. He expressed his high respect for the support of Greece to Montenegro and its European and Euro-Atlantic integration and stated the expectation that the same would be further promoted. The President emphasized that is was necessary to further promote the bilateral economic cooperation and expressed expectation that the Ambassador Fotopoulos would treat this field as a priority, and in that context he placed the cooperation of chambers of commerce and tourist organizations.

The Ambassador Fotopoulos expressed his respect for the successes of Montenegro in the European and Euro-Atlantic integration, expressing readiness of Greece to further offer support to the integration processes of Montenegro. He agreed that it was necessary to promote the economic cooperation, identifying encouragement of Greek investments in Montenegro as the most important segment in performing its responsible duty.
