President of Montenegro in Croatia
At the invitation of President of the Republic of Croatia, Ivo Josipović, the President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović, will attend in Zagreb the celebration of the accession of Croatia to the European Union.

Upon his arrival in Zagreb, in a media statement, the President congratulated Croatia, its citizens, state bodies and all the entities of Croatian society that conducted a long, demanding, and very complex, nine-year accession process and achieved a truly historic value, the membership in the European Union. He stressed that this was of capital importance for Croatia, but it is also important for our region, particularly for the neighbours.

"Montenegro will certainly benefit from the neighbouring countries to a significant extent. It will be an opportunity to use Croatian experiences in the negotiation process. Practically, the same team that led the negotiation process from Brussels will now proceed with the process for Montenegro. This is certainly a chance to accelerate the negotiations with the European Union. It is an opportunity to, using those experiences, get the opportunity to open and close all the chapters more quickly, and it is above all important that we have a great promoter in the European Union for the integration needs of Montenegro. Therefore, the membership of Croatia in the European Union has a special significance for Montenegro and the region. This significance is really exceptional and I am very glad that Croatia received the EU membership," said the President.
