President of Montenegro in Kolašin
The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović attended today the ceremonial session of the Municipal Assembly in Kolašin held on the occasion of the Municipality Day.

The President congratulated the citizens of Kolašin, the president of the Assembly and the president of the Municipality on holiday with respect for all that has been done in Kolašin, with belief that this area will continue to develop. He expressed his expectation that the important infrastructure objects, the motorway towards Berane, and capital project of Montenegro – the motorway from Podgorica to Mateševo, will meet the expectation of Kolašin to valorize the values of this area to the maximum extent for the purpose of the more quality life of citizens.

Journalist’s question:
What is your comment on the most recent accusations leveled against your Advisor for security that he organized”black triplets”?

President’s answer:
I can make several statements. First of all, the expectation that the prosecutor will investigate this case promptly and in maximum detail, and that he will, right after that, inform the public about his viewpoint. It is important for Montenegro to obtain this information and to get, as it is expected, extremely responsible and impartial viewpoint expressed by the prosecutor as soon as possible. As I always make a point, all citizens are equal before the law and the law is equal for everyone, there are no privileged persons, there are no discriminated persons, and it is obligation to establish the responsibility in an objective and impartial manner. In case of finding the guilty and conditions for the sanctions, this sanction must be all the more greater, as the duty is higher that someone performs. And finally, as the public knows, I appointed my Advisor for the security on the basis of his professional and qualified references that are known to the public, and in connection with this case, as I have already said, the prosecutor will establish what his legal obligation is.

Journalist’s question:
Have you talked to him and has he mentioned the center of financial power that stands behind Brajuskovic?

President’s answer:
He told me what he told the public. Let him to tell about the details he intended to say it, when he thinks he should say it.

Journalist’s question:
When will you call for elections in three municipalities and will the mandate be shortened in Cetinje?

President’s answer:
The conditions for setting the date for elections in the newly constituted municipality of Petnjica and Mojkovac will be met at the beginning of September, and it is necessary to wait for shortening of the mandate in Cetinje in order to call for an election in Cetinje. I am convinced that the expectation that the election will be called in a way to adapt to the needs of these elections-will be met, and let’s wait for the conditions to be met.

Journalist’s question:
What do you think about the idea to call for the election in all three municipalities at the same time?

President’s answer:
First of all, the mandate of the councilors in Cetinje must be shortened in order to meet the conditions to call for election in Cetinje, and, as regards Petnjica and Mojkovac the conditions are present by the law, but the deadline for calling the election must be respected.

Journalist’s question:
Do you think that the slow constitutional changes affect the European path of Montenegro?

President’s answer:
I expressed high appreciation for what the Parliament has done, it was certainly the expectation of the EU Commission too, and it was a condition for opening chapters 23 and 24. I am convinced that there will be a good dynamics of implementation and that all conditions have been met to open these two chapters, and that Montenegro, as only state in the accession process, will continue and intensify its negotiation process.

Journalist’s question:
What is your comment on the situation in Berane?
I received the information from the president of the Berane municipality that all measures are being taken, and it is expected to fulfill their purpose. I expect it to be like that.
