Cetinje, President of Montenegro received the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Thailand
The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović received today in Cetinje the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Ms. Jingluk Shinavatra, who pays an official visit to Montenegro.

The President Vujanović assessed that the two states, although faraway geographically, had a possibility to cooperate in a comprehensive and intensive manner. He pointed to the necessity of forming a contractual basis for cooperation of the two states and signing of a Protocol on Cooperation by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, which text had been harmonized, as well as establishment of political consultations of the two ministries, through which the cooperation would be improved in the fields of mutual interest. The President also expressed his expectation that appointment of a non-resident Ambassador of Montenegro to Thailand as well as Honorary Consul of Montenegro in that friendly country, would add to the cooperation.
The collocutors concluded that there was wide room for economic cooperation, whereby the Port of Bar as well as the Free Customs Zone, taking into account its regional significance, may have an important role.

The Prime Minister of Thailand, Ms. Shinavatra agreed with the need of establishing intensive and comprehensive relations between the two states, stating great significance of the Business Forum, which will be organized in our Chamber of Commerce and assessing that signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation by our Chamber of Commerce and the Commercial Association of Thailand would strongly contribute to the economic cooperation. She assessed that her visit as well as the visit of Prime Minister of Montenegro to Thailand would make a great contribution to that cooperation.
