Amman, President of Montenegro Meets King of Jordan
The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović who is on an official visit to Jordan, met today with Jordanian King Abdullah II at the Royal Palace in Amman.

President Vujanović was welcomed in the capital of Jordan with the highest state and military honors.

In the long bilateral talks and open and constructive meeting of the delegations, the areas of cooperation were identified in the field of economy, and, accordingly, it was stated that the priority of cooperation lies in the field of trade, agriculture, water management, industry and tourism.

President Vujanović acquainted the King of Jordan that practically there is no trade exchange between the two countries but there are conditions to facilitate it at quality level.

Montenegro is ready to offer Jordan high quality meat and meat products as well as high quality bottled water. Also, there are conditions for quality cooperation in different fields of industry, bearing in mind complementarity in various industrial sectors, on which the King was informed in detail by the Minister of Economy Vladimir Kavarić.

It was noted a high value and importance of tourism and assessed that this area offers ample room for cooperation which should be used.

The possibility of establishing joint companies was confirmed, while encouraging investors from both states in order that such companies valorize potentials of cooperation in mentioned areas.

It was also assessed that it is necessary to exchange the expert visits as soon as possible, to form interstate contractual basis and make conditions for encouragement of investment partnerships between the two economies.

It was expressed the expectation that the two chambers of commerce will strongly encourage economic cooperation and assist in selection of the best model of cooperation.

President Vujanović bestowed the highest state order to the King Abdullah II and Queen Rania while the Jordanian King bestowed the highest order of Jordan to the President of Montenegro.

President Vujanović invited King Abdullah II to visit Montenegro, which the King accepted with pleasure.
