Budva, President Vujanović met with the Commissioner Janez Potočnik
The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović met today in Budva with the European Commissioner for Environment, Janez Potočnik.

The President expressed his satisfaction over the dynamics of European integration of Montenegro, expecting that chapters 23 and 24 would be open until the end of this year, as well as the chapters prepared for opening the negotiations. He emphasized readiness of Montenegro to give special value to the negotiations in the field of environmental protection with full commitment of the state and all the entities of society to achieve the demanding standards in this area.

The President stated his respect to the European Commissioner Potočnik for the adequate assistance that was offered to Montenegro in this important field of accession negotiations.

European Commissioner for Environment Janez Potočnik emphasized his respect for efforts made by Montenegro to responsibly and dynamically conduct accession negotiations, with belief that further opening of chapters would speed up the European integration process. He stated that it was a good example for other states of the Western Balkans region, which undoubted interest is EU membership.
