The President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović received today the letter of credence from the newly-appointed, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran to Montenegro Majid Fahim.

The President expressed his respect for the encouraging results of the November negotiations in Geneva, expecting that the same would lead to achievement of the overall interest of the international community and Iran.

The President stated his belief that the room for economic cooperation would be exploited, especially by use of capacities of the Port of Bar and duty-free zone, assessing that there was clear room for realization of joint economic interests in that framework.

Ambassador Majid Fahim pointed out that Montenegro was a good example in the region with visible overall development and valuable integration goals. He emphasized full willingness of Iran for economic cooperation and readiness to devote his diplomatic mission primarily to that objective.
