Podgorica, President Vujanović received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece
President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović received today Evangelos Venizelos, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece.

President expressed his high respect for the support of Greece to our European and Euro-Atlantic integration, stating that he said the same to the Greek President Karolos Papoulias, on the occasion of their recent meeting in the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

The President expressed his expectation that, as we are getting closer to the Summit in Great Britain, Greece would intensify its support to Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic integration, stating that invitation to Montenegro for membership, along with security values would also have great political and economic values.
He stated his satisfaction over the bilateral relations, which are comprehensive in all the fields, with a possibility to expand the economic cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece Evangelos Venizelos expressed his respect for our European and Euro-Atlantic achievements. He stated that, during its EU Presidency, Greece would support the ambition of enlargement to the maximum extent and assist Montenegro to achieve the European standards.

The Minister Evangelos Venizelos stated his belief that Montenegro would be committed to promotion of NATO values in the forthcoming months, for the purpose of raising the level of our public opinion support.
In that sense, he especially emphasized importance of cooperation in the field of defense and positive role of Montenegro in the peace-keeping missions.

Minister Evangelos Venizelos pointed out readiness of Greece to further promote bilateral relations in the field of economy, stating that he agreed with the President that there was wide room for it.
