President of Montenegro condemned the attack on the newsroom of TV Vijesti
The President answered to the question of the Voice of America journalist that, in his opinion, the last night’s attack on the newsroom of TV Vijesti and attack on the Chief of the Police a few days ago were open challenges for the state.

“As regards the attack on the newsroom of Vijesti I experience it with maximum indignation. I think that it is an expression of great primitivism of those who decided to attack. Fighting for investigative journalism, for free journalism, for freedom of journalists and freedom of media, the State’s obligations are to do its best to find the perpetrators and to ensure that the proceedings are completed as quickly as possible and that the perpetrators are punished adequately, thus sending a message to everyone.

I experience in the same way the attack on the Chief of the Security Center in Bar, which is again a challenge for the state. I do not experience it as an attack on personality only, I experience it as an attack on the state, which decisively fights against organized crime and corruption and the man they attacked is one of its exponents and fighters. It is a serious challenge for the state and we have to do our best to show that we will protect the state and those participants of that state process who fight against organized crime and corruption. Therefore, that is the essence of the Chapters 23 and 24, fight against organized crime of that type, which obviously decided to attack media and to attack the state’s sensitive services that fight against organized crime and corruption. more
